During this informal, hands-on 3-hour workshop we capture a variety of subjects including quirky close-ups (ideal practice for taking good Nature Shots) and Landscape Photography, as we walk across Point Cartwrights amazing rock pools and beach. You will get to learn how to create different effects at the time of taking a photo with your iPhone and how to capture images on your iPhone in interesting and creative ways.
Workshop outline:
iPhone camera resolution quality continues to improve with the release of each new phone model; however, the talent lies with the photographer and not the camera. An image can come from any camera even a mobile phone - it’s about the eye and not the gear! Capturing good photos on the iPhone still requires skill however an understanding of focus and exposure control, composition, and the best lighting - we will show how!
We begin the workshop with an explanation of how to edit images using the iPhones standard editing software, believe me it’s so easy to make a landscape image pop. After a quick overview on making the most of the camera’s autofocus selection button and key points for strong image composition - we hit the sand, allowing you to explore your photographic skills and creativity using your iPhone camera. There is plenty of good photo material along the way for capturing interesting images. You will also be given other recommended iPhone photo apps to check out yourself later.
After the shoot we will head to One on Labalsa for a coffee and a look at our images. Here we will edit a few images and make them stand out from the rest.
Course suitable for:
Whether you are a competent DSLR or compact camera user or have no photography knowledge whatsoever, this is a fun workshop for all iPhone users and ages! Also popular for adventures and travel bloggers!
